Cabin Policies

Reservations
Multiple night stays are required to make a reservation. A 3 night minimum is required. Rates are discounted for a stay of 4 or more nights.

Deposit Confirmation: A 25% deposit is required to confirm your reservation and is to be paid by credit card at the time you make your reservation by phone. The deposit total will be calculated at the time of reservation after the addition of your total nightly stay, taxes, and tourism assessments. The balance due at check in will be reflected in the confirmation letter.

Final Balance Payment: Balance due upon check in by cash or credit card.

Check in begins at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time Zone. NO early check-ins - Thank you for your understanding.

Check-in procedure: The confirmation letter you receive by U.S. Mail will contain instructions for your arrival and check-in.

No Show Policy: Your cabin will be held until until 7:00 AM the morning following your scheduled arrival date. If you do not arrive by that time and have not called the resort, we will assume you will not be visiting and reserve the right to rent out the cabin to another party.

Cancellation procedure
Please call Paradise Shores Cabins if you choose to cancel your reservation. If you cancel more than 21 days before your arrival date, you will receive 100% of your deposit back and it will be refunded to your credit card (minus a $40 cancellation fee). If you cancel within the 21 days prior to your arrival, your deposit is nonrefundable and you will lose a maximum of up to whatever you paid for the deposit at the time of reservation.

​Check out on the day of your departure is 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time Zone. The cancellation policy applies in the case of an early checkout (ie. no refunds for early checkouts).

Check-out procedure: Please remove all items from the refrigerator and place garbage in the cans outside the cabin. Recycling and trash bins are located next to the wood rack near the office. Be sure to check the shower for toiletries and wipe down any commonly touched surfaces with the provided cleaning solution.

Pet Policy
No pets are allowed on the premises.

Registered Guest Policy
Cabin use, bathrooms, fire pits, picnic areas, beach & other facilities of Paradise Shores are strictly for use of only the registered guests on the reservation.
​
Cabin amenities
All cabins contain small kitchens and are stocked with dishes, glasses, cups, and pots & pans to cook indoors with a stove/oven, microwave, automatic drip coffee pot, toaster & refrigerator. The cabin has one small flat screen TV with Direct TV. Each cabin has a 3 piece bath with sink, stool, & shower (or tub in cabin 9). The three items provided in all cabins include Coffee Filters for the automatic drip coffee makers, dish soap, & toilet paper. Outside the cabin, there is a charcoal grill, picnic table, and fire ring. Two metal chairs are provided around each cabin’s fire ring for your use and a limited number of chairs are provided on the beach platform.

A resort linen fee per bed will be added to your reservation total for those who would like beds made and ready for your arrival. Guests are given the option to bring their own linens to save on that fee (sheets/pillowcases for each bed). If you would like the beds to be made and linens to be provided, the resort linen fee is a one time charged per bed.

Items to Bring:

Guests should bring all of their own consumables (groceries, coffee, bathroom supplies, towels, hand soap, etc.)​​. Items needed for cooking on the grill are also not provided so guests will need to bring their own charcoal & lighter fluid and picnic supplies. Don't forget your towels: Beach towels, bath towels, kitchen towels, paper towels). Toilet paper is supplied that is safe for our septic systems.

Property Grounds
​
Rules of the Beach:
​
Please use the Beach responsibly. The following apply to activities on the lakeshore of Paradise Shores Cabins:
* * Always use hand rail when descending stairs to the beach
* No children under the age of 18 on beach without the supervision of an adult
* No fires on beach (only in designated fire rings outside your cabin)
* No running or horseplay on the platform or beach
* No jumping or diving off platform
* No Lifeguard on duty, swim at your own risk
* Use of beach (& facilities) for use by registered guests ONLY
* No glass containers of any sort allowed on the beach or platform
* No climbing on the sidehill from the cabins down to the beach
* No climbing on landscape rock along north shore of beach

​​​​Parking:
NO parking or driving past parking pylons, no driving on any grass areas, and NO tents may be set up on the property for the protection of the many drainage fields & tanks that are underground throughout the property. Fire rings are also not to be moved due to the drain fields and underground gas lines. For guest safety and prevention of further lakeshore erosion, NO climbing or playing on the sandy side hills or lakeshore boulders. Parents will be asked to keep children from climbing on the fences for everyone's safety. Absolutely no stripping of birch bark off trees. Violation of any of these property ground policies are considered property damage and legal action will be taken. Please help us maintain the beauty of the resort, Lake Superior shoreline, and of the U.P.

In the winter, snowmobiles are to be driven on the driveway only, not across any snow hills or property past the pylons for the protection of septic systems, drain fields, and wells. The same applies for ATV's in summer season. If you will be traveling with a trailer, please mention at the time of reservation for instructions on the overflow parking area.

Quiet Time
Please be considerate of other guests by observing a quiet time by 10 PM and extreme quiet by 11 PM or later. Thank-you.

Damage Policy
We realize accidents happen, but we would appreciate being made aware of an issue as soon as possible to minimize potential problem so that it can be resolved before another guest checks in to that cabin. If an item is found broken in your cabin and you have not notified us, you may be charged.
​
Mechanicals
The cabins each have their own furnace unit, hot water heater, and appliances most of which run on Propane gas. Please do not adjust any of the mechanicals on any of the units. Any repairs needed due to customer adjustments will result in a charge.

No Smoking in Cabins!
All of our cabins are nonsmoking. Please step outside if you choose to smoke (including cannibis). A sand ashtray is provided. No smoking of any kind of tobacco or vaping is allowed inside. A detection of odors may result in additional cleaning fees. Please be respectful of other guests in an area you may be smoking.

​Management reserves the right to enter cabins for purposes including, but not limited to, maintenance, and repairs, turning off lights or appliances, or for checking on the safety and security of property and/or guests.
